Kris Nelson

Kris Nelson,
Clinic Director/Owner


Kris is the Director and assumed ownership of the Green River clinic in 2014. He brings more than two decades of experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting, and delivers personalized solutions to his patients.  Over the years, Kris has honed a diverse set of physical therapy skills.  He counts foot and ankle rehabilitation, including the fabrication of custom orthotics as well as sports specific rehabilitation as areas of special interest. He has extensive experience in general orthopedics with emphasis in manual therapy, knee and shoulder rehabilitation, and golf rehabilitation and performance enhancement. Kris utilizes his expertise in a multimodal treatment approach that has proved to be effective with his patients.

Kris earned his Master of Physical Therapy from the University Of North Dakota in 1999. Prior to PT school, he studied at the University of Wyoming and Northwest in Powell, WY. In 2015, Kris successfully completed his Certified Hand Therapy (CHT) certification by the nationally recognized Hand Therapy Certification Commission.  As a CHT, he specializes in treatment of the upper extremity and has achieved the highest level of competency in the profession.  Through continuing education and training, Kris remains knowledgeable about preventive care, current surgical techniques, post-surgery therapy programs, and fabrication of custom upper extremity splints. 

When Kris is not helping patients, he takes advantage of Sweetwater County’s beauty with activities such as hiking, camping, golf, and floating the Green River with his wife and two children.   

Nick Hastert

Nick Hastert,


Nick is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and he enjoys treating patients of all ages in a variety of clinical areas including: orthopedics, sports, and balance/neurologic diagnoses. Nick has earned a national board certification as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS).The OCS certification focuses on advanced evidence-based practice, orthopedic injury examination, treatment, and medical interventions.This certification indicates advanced knowledge and rigorous training in the area of orthopedic physical therapy. In addition, he holds advanced training in dry needling and spinal manipulation techniques, and continually adds to his skill set through training and education. Nick is also a certified functional capacity evaluator, which allows him to assess individuals’ capacity to safely perform work activities related to employment. Nick practices an evidence-based, patient-centered approach to help patients improve function, movement, and decrease pain. 

A Green River native, Nick is happy to be treating patients in his hometown. He became interested in physical therapy after spending time as a physical therapy patient with knee injuries, and employment as a physical therapy tech. Nick earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota, his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from the University of Wyoming, and Associate of Science Degree with an emphasis in Pre-Health Science from Western Wyoming Community College.

When Nick is not helping patients, he spends time playing and watching sports. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, backpacking, and skiing. You also will often find him at the river with his chocolate lab, Clementine.

Jackie Clark

Jackie Clark,


Jackie brings enthusiasm and wealth of experience in sports therapy and orthopedic therapy. She has completed the national board certification of Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Jackie is the only residency trained, board certified sports specialist in Wyoming and is excited to bring her unique sports rehab knowledge to our communities and help athletes of all ages feel stronger.  She counts athletic rehabilitation as an area of treatment specialty, as well as concussion management and injuries to the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. Jackie uses the most current, evidence based treatments to help patients return to sport and life in general.  Jackie finds joy when patients have the “light bulb moment” in the clinic and she is able to play a role in helping them get back to living life. 

Jackie earned both her Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Sciences and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University. Being a competitive gymnast and battling knee injuries are what piqued Jackie’s interest in physical therapy, and sports therapy specifically. The power of physical therapy changed Jackie’s life and this is what inspires her to help patients.  After two years treating in the outpatient orthopedic setting, Jackie spent an entire year completing her Sports Physical Therapy Residency at Texas Health Sports Medicine where she worked with the D1 athletes of TCU. 

A native of Texas, Jackie’s sense of adventure and love of meeting new people, brought her to Wyoming. She loves exploring and embracing outdoor hobbies in her new state with her two mini Australian Shepherd pups in tow. Outside of work, you will also find Jackie cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars...really any Dallas sports team. 

Lori Peterson - Patient Care Coordinator

Lori Peterson - Patient Care Coordinator,


Lori is the administrative lead in the Green River clinic. Her warm smile and fun personality are a favorite of our Green River patients. Lori takes pride in customer service, making sure patients are scheduled and all their questions are addressed with kindness. Lori loves seeing how physical therapy helps people recover from injury and is proud to be a part of the process of patient success. She enjoys helping patients feel confident that physcial therapy is the right choice for their health. 

Lori worked in the education field for 14 years, supporting students and families to ensure the best outcomes for area youth. She brings to FTG caring knowlege of patient service and outstanding communications skills. 

A Green River native, Lori is a thrill seeker, spending weekends on side by side adventure rides in the mountains and area hillsides. Lori and her husband also stay busy supporting their three children with school activities and traveling soccer teams. 

Amy Manzanares

Amy Manzanares,
Physical Therapy Technician

As a key figure in the clinic, Amy works closely with our physical therapists to support patients through their recovery. Amy helps patients progress through each physical therapy treatment--encouraging them to reach their goals, while making certain their time in the clinic is comfortable and productive. Her passion for personal training led Amy to FTG where she could use her fitness and coaching expertise to help patients.

Amy is a lifelong athlete who earned an Associate of Science degree and is a certified personal trainer.She is also fluent in American Sign Language and has worked across many school districts as a ASL interpreter and coach.

Outside of work you will find Amy competing in bodybuilding events and training clients to a healthier life. Along with her husband and boxer pup Hunter, they find adventure in riding their side by side, camping, and hiking.
